- Account and business information: Your name, email address, business name, and contact details when you sign up.
- Website URL: The URL of your business website, which you provide for us to analyze and generate relevant blog content.
- Payment information: Subscription payments ($399/month) are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. Stripe provides us with a payment token, the last four digits of your card, and billing information.
- Communications: Emails and messages you send us.
Information We Collect Through Website Analysis
When you provide your business website URL, our system automatically scrapes and analyzes publicly available content on your website. This is a core part of how our service works. Specifically, we collect:
- Business profile data: Business name, services offered, service area, contact information, and other details visible on your website.
- Page content: Text, headings, meta descriptions, and page structure from your publicly accessible pages.
- Technical details: Site structure, existing blog content (if any), and SEO-relevant metadata.
We only scrape publicly available information from the URL you provide. We do not access password-protected areas, private databases, or any systems beyond what is publicly visible to any web visitor.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited on fillmyblog.com, feature usage, and interaction patterns.
- Log data: IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamps.
- Hosted blog analytics: If your blog is hosted on a fillmyblog.com subdomain, we collect standard web analytics for your blog (page views, visitor counts, traffic sources).

- To host and publish blog content on your subdomain
- To process payments and manage your subscription

3. AI Content Generation
We use Anthropic's Claude AI to generate blog content for your business. Your scraped website data, business profile, and industry context are sent to Anthropic's API to produce relevant articles. Anthropic processes this data according to their Privacy Policy. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.
4. Cookies
- Session cookies: Keep you logged in and manage your dashboard session.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how you use the FillMyBlog dashboard.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some dashboard functionality may be affected.

We share data with these third parties as needed to deliver the Service:

6. What We Do With Scraped Website Data
To be clear about how we handle the data we collect from your website:
- Scraped data is used only to generate blog content for your business and optimize it for SEO.
- We do not share your scraped website data with other clients or use it for any purpose other than serving you.
- Scraped data is stored securely and associated with your account.
- If you cancel your subscription, scraped data is deleted within 30 days (see Data Retention below).
7. Your Rights Under the CCPA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal data)
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

8. Data Retention
- Account and business data: Retained while your subscription is active. Deleted within 30 days of account closure.
- Scraped website data: Retained while your subscription is active. Deleted within 30 days of cancellation.
- Generated blog content: If hosted on our subdomain, content is taken offline within 7 days of cancellation. You may request an export of your content before cancelling.
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.
- Server logs: Automatically purged after 90 days.
9. Data Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure server infrastructure, restricted access controls, and encrypted database storage. While we take security seriously, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
10. Children's Privacy
FillMyBlog is a business service not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
